Why
Forensic Science
Forensic science is a subject that arouses interest in students. For many years a great number of novels, films and television series related to the investigation of crime have been brought out and met with popularity. Through this project the students will learn about a STEM profession as these skills are required to work as a police scientist.
Why
STEAM
The demand for qualified professionals who have STEAM skills has increased over the years. There has been an increase in the implementation of these skills in schools, which are steadily adapting themselves to the new needs of the XXI century. We are talking about a new learning model, based on the teaching of these five disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), unlike separate knowledge fields the subjects are combined, with a practical and interdisciplinary approach. STEAM education allows students to develop skills and competencies related to innovation, which can be of great benefit to them in the future.
Use scientific knowledge and evidence in a coherent and correct way to understand reality.
Technology
Use technological means to select and interpret information appropriately.
Engineering
Implement solutions, plan adequately and assess both the result and the process in order to continue improving.
Arts & Humanities
Appreciate and reflect constructively on the elements that make up the artistic, historical and cultural heritage.
Mathematics
Interpret, rationalize and communicate information and results using the appropriate mathematical language.
Why International
For several decades, we have seen our society evolve and continuously globalize. We have seen technology evolve in many ways. One of these advancements is the internet, which is also one of most used technological tools in the world today.
- Communication has never been easier; with just one click, you can connect with people on the other side of the world. Consequently, there is a challenge for schools to adapt to the world that we are currently living in. As the years go by, students must be equipped with not only the knowledge of these innovative tools, but also the ability to utilize them, enabling them to plant their feet firmly in tomorrow´s working world.
- These projects allow students to collaborate with other students from different countries, which enables them to learn a great deal from one another and promotes cultural exchange.
